Water Broke But No Contractions. I am a third time mom so i feel like i should know this by now but every time has been so different. I am sure you and your baby are fine and it is normal to not have contractions right away or have them be painful enough to notice.

Baby wasn’t born until 2:50am the next day. My water broke first and then the contractions started afterwards. There is nothing wrong or bad.just after 24 hrs there is a higher risk of infection to the baby and so getting checked out immediately is important.

But i gave it a couple of hours and no contractions so i called be hospital because they want you too if your waters rupture. They said they would have induced me by the end of the day as they don't like you to go too long after your water breaks in case of infection, but i was able to have my son naturally. There is nothing wrong or bad.just after 24 hrs there is a higher risk of infection to the baby and so getting checked out immediately is important.
